Richard James Perkins (1951 - 58 ) passed away on the 10th November
2009.====================================================================== Aubrey F Morley was at the school from 1934-42. HIs cousin, Hugh Easton (1942 - 1949) writes to tell us of his death, aged 86, on November 6th 2009. After service in the RAF, during the latter part of the 1939-45 war, he worked at University College School as Classics teacher from 1951 until 1984, when he moved to Sherbourne College, before retiring to Avonpark retirement settlement, near Bath, with his wife, Ann. Sadly she pre-deceased him in 2005 - as, even more sadly, did his son Christopher, in 2003, aged 52.
====================================================================== Robert Wyatt ('37-'44) writes to tell us:
Mary Badcock, the wife of Walter Badcock has asked me to let the society know of the death of her husband, aged 92, on January 13 this year followed by his funeral at March with full military honours. Walter was a pupil at the school from '28-'33. He was subsequently Lt. Col. of the Cambridgeshire Regiment serving in Singapore during World War 2 where he was captured with his regiment by the Japanese and held prisoner for the remainder of the war in horrific circumstances. He was later awarded an M.B.E.
Later he continued his association with the army by long service in charge of the Cambridge office of the Territorial's until his final retirement. [His son David followed in his footsteps at the school from '67-'74.]======================================================================
