We have learnt of the seath of D.C.P. ‘Peter’ Shoote (29-36) on Friday December 19th 2008. He was not only a pupil at the school but taught there before becoming Head Teacher of Harston Primary School for 26 years. ======================================================================
We have been informed of the death of Don Rattenbury following a series of heart attacks on 19th December 2008. ======================================================================
Morris William John Hatley (40-45). Suddenly on Sunday 14th December 2008. A short committal service will be held at 10.00am on Tuesday 23rd December at the East Chapel, Cambridge Crematorium, followed by a 3.00pm service at St.James Church, Lode.

====================================================================== We have been informed of the death of our oldest member, Paul Apthorpe (23-29) on Sunday 15th June 2008. The funereal will be held at St Laurence’s Church, Milton Rd., Cambridge at 12.30pm on Friday 27th June. Paul regularly attended the Annual Dinner and although unable to attend due to illness in 2005 and 2006 he was able to attend in 2007 and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.====================================================================== We have been informed by G Holt (51-57 ) of the death of Frank Ingle (51-58 ) in Arthur Rank House on Saturday 7th June 2008.======================================================================
We have been advised by his son that Hector Legge (1940 - 45) died on 2nd April 2008. The service will be at the West Chapel, Cambridge City Crematorium Thursday 17th April 2008 at 13.30.

Reg Clare (1939 - 47) has sent us this appreciation of Geoffrey C Coe (1939-47):
"Geoffrey died on 16th September 2007 after a short illness He took a very full part in the life of the school whilst there, in particular on the rugby field and finally was a senior prefect. After school he completed his national service in the army and then read languages at Leeds University. His first employment was with Avery Scales based for a time in Newcastle but then he joined Unilever in1954 and worked with them until his retirement in 1989.
During the 50’s Geoffrey was active in the Old Boys rugby team and their rowing eight, twice winning his oars in the Town Bumps.
In the latter part of his time with Unilever he was midland regional manager and established his home in the Northants village of Woodford Halse. He and his wife Hazel lived there for 27 years and took a full part in the community life. Geoffrey was a member of the Royal British Legion and for 20 years was president of the Woodford and Byfield branch. During retirement he studied at the Open University and then gained an MA at Coventry University. Unfortunately he died shortly before his golden wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife Hazel, daughter Penelope and 3 grandchildren."======================================================================
We have been informed of the death of H.R. Hurst (38-43) on 30th January in hospital. The funeral will be at 1.45pm on Wednesday 13th February in the East Chapel at Cambridge Crematorium.======================================================================
