Mr D.C.P. Shoote 1929 1936 2008 We have learnt of the seath of D.C.P. ‘Peter’ Shoote (29-36) on Friday December 19th 2008. He was not only a pupil at the school but taught there before becoming Head Teacher of Harston Primary School for 26 years.
Mr E S Teversham 1931 1936 2013 We have been notified of the death of Eric Samuel (Steve) Teversham (1931 - 36). He died peacefully in hospital in Salisbury, aged 93 after a short illness.
Mr K. Hudson 1935 1939 22nd April 2015 We have been notified of Ken's death by his son, Chris.
Major G G Stock 1938 1946 2013 We have been informed, by his daughter, of the death of Major Graham George Stock (38-46), late of the Royal Marines, in his sleep at his home in Dorset on Tuesday 3rd September 2013.
Dr P.C. Few 1952 1959 28th April 2015 We have been informed of his death by his wife, Dilys.
Mr B.G. Pidgeon 1935 1942 August 2014 We have been informed by his widow, Joyce, that having spent several years in a nursing home Brian died after a long illness.
Mr R S Green 1923 1928 2013 We have been advised of the death of Roy Green (1923 - 28 ), who died at home of old age on 26 May 2013. He was 101 years old (born 6/11/11) but remained mentally acute until the very end. He was a Vice-President of the Society and was our oldest member.
Mr G. S. L. Mott 1953 1957 We have been advised of Geoff's death at the age of 71 in 2013.
Mr C.S. Ball 1945 1953 We are sad to pass on news of the death of Colin Ball, a staunch member of the OCS and long-time committee member . Colin rowed as a pupil of the Cambridgeshire High School for Boys, and was a member of the first school crew to win blades, in the town bumps in 1952. He went on to become the School Captain of Boats, and club Vice Captain. After school, Colin went into teaching and spent much of his career at St Bede's School, where he was a founding teacher in 1962 and was deputy head between 1970 and 1988. He had active involvement with the Church and Scouting as well as the Old Cantabrigian Society and was a kind, caring and witty man. He died on 6th May 2020 after a short stay in hospital.
Mr burwellmick 1990 1992 09/02/2018 We are advised as follows: "It is with deep sadness that I write this note to say that Michael Lucas suffered a heart attack and passed away in his sleep, the morning of 9th February 2018. " No further details currently available.
Major A.C.V. Foster 1932 1941 Tony Foster died on 4th October 2016. His funeral was on 26th October at the Cambridge Crematorium, a family service only.
Mr P Bryan 1951 1974 25/10/2013 The death is reported of Mr Peter Bryan on 25th October. Peter was a distinguished geographer, who for many years was Head of the Department and very active in the life and work of the former Cambridgeshire High School for Boys. He represented the staff professionally, and was the school representative on a number of outside consultative bodies, both locally and nationally. On the re-organisation of secondary education in Cambridge and the creation of the Sixth Form College in 1974, Peter became Secretary of the Collegiate Board, which planned course distribution among the post-16 institutions during the years following re-organisation and was responsible for the operation of the 16+ student "clearing house". He was a keen participant in the affairs of the Old Cantabrigians, and jointly wrote/edited a history of the school & college The Second Half Century. The funeral took place on Thursday 7th November at 3.00pm at the Cambridge Crematorium.
Mr I R Beaton 1953 1960 2011 Robert was a retired veterinary surgeon and died in hospital in Manchester shortly after being diagnosed with multiple cancers.
Mr R.E. Lintott 1943 1950 Robert E Lintott died on the 25th May 2017.

Mr P. Allen 1927 1933 2017 Philip died peacefully at the age of 101
Mr R.C. Griggs 1935 1941 4th November 2015 Passed peacefully to rest at Waterbeach Lodge. Ron was a stalwart and apostle of The Old Cantabrigian R.U.F.C. For many years he served as the rugby representative on the Old Cantabrigian Society Committee. Funeral 12noon at Cambridge City Crematorium on Wednesday 25th November.
Mr R H Asbury 1930 1936 2011 Passed away quietly in his sleep on 11th March aged 92 years. One of the really 'old' 7th, as P/L of the Woodpeckers & always carried his Scout Progress Card with him! He was a Tank Commander in the 8th Army during WWII.
